AdAurum is built so you can switch maps and layers on and off without ever losing your exact spot or zoom level. The trick is to experiment with different map and layer combinations until you've got exactly the detail you need for what you're doing.
If the screen ever feels busy, turn off the layers you don't need right now — especially the claims layer when you're reading terrain. Once you get the hang of it, it's quick and effortless.
